Thorsten Klotz
Thorsten Klotz is a Managing Director in the Moody’s EMEA Structured Finance Group and oversees the new ratings and surveillance activities for Corporate Asset Securitization in the EMEA region.
Analytical coverage includes a wide range of asset classes such as Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), balance sheet CLOs, granular SME loan & lease securitizations, Asset-Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) and esoterics. Prior to his appointment to Managing Director in 2008, Thorsten was a lead analyst in the Moody’s EMEA Structured Finance Group and worked on various transaction types, including CDOs of ABS, Leveraged Loan CLOs and German SME loan securitisations.
Before joining Moody’s in 2002, Thorsten was a Senior Derivatives Structurer at CDC IXIS Capital Markets where he was responsible for the development and pricing of interest rate and inflation linked structures. Prior to this role, he was working as a trader for fixed income derivatives and equity linked structures at DZ BANK (former DG BANK).
Thorsten holds a master degree in managerial economics (University of Passau) with main options in insurance & risk theory, finance and stochastics.
